In international practice, the product bears the name Rose Damascena organic essential oil for aromatherapy, derived directly from the Latin name of the botanical species. The plant belongs to the botanical family Rosaceae. The family unites numerous tree and shrub species in which volatile substances accumulate mainly in the flowers and shape their characteristic scent. The flowers provide the raw material, and the plantations in Bulgaria secure the harvest for each distillation.
